Domaines de Recherche : Mesophotic Coral Ecosystems / quantitative ecology / coral reefs / oceanography / modelling / climate change

After a B.Sc. in Marine Science – Oceanography in the Canary Islands, I moved to Australia, where I joined the fantastic world of Coral Reefs. Following academic volunteering programs and after being a fieldwork team member for « Chasing Coral », I committed myself to the world of Coral Reef Research and Communication. After finishing an MSc in Biodiversity and Environmental Management of Coral Reefs with two internships at the CRIOBE France and French Polynesia, I started a PhD in October 2018 at the CRIOBE to study the (deep) mesophotic coral ecosystems of the “twilight zone” of French Polynesia. My PhD, entitled “Diving deep on the reef slopes in French Polynesia: new insights into mesophotic coral ecosystems”, was successfully defended on July 2022. My ultimate goal is to provide empirical research and tools for science-based decisions for the oceans' future with global changes.
